This week I learned what Drew would look like with a goatee.
This week Jacob celebrated his 100th day of school this year.
In preparation for the party he glued 100 wheat berries to a paper to take in, and he counted out 100 pieces of Captain Crunch to add to the class trail mix. We learned that 100 pieces of cereal is not very much. In the spirit of things, he also cut the tags off of 100 towels for Serving With Smiles so that they will be ready to go into some hygiene kits.
This week we had some fun family time. Tyler and Callie cut hair side by side in front of Yanni: Live at the Acropolis. Tyler's customers were Camden and Jacob. I love how in this picture you can see Camden sporting Jacob's shoes. He had to hold his toes up high to keep them on his feet. Callie was working on "Viola" -- the head of a mannequin that she got when she got her perm from our generous hair dresser.
The best part of watching Yanni was hearing comments from the peanut gallery. I had some good laughs. Callie does a hilarious imitation of Yanni standing and playing the keyboard. Me? I listened while I scrubbed our oven range's hood and discovered that it really is white.
This week I also recommend watching the movie Ramona and Beezus. Even Tyler enjoyed it. We are true-blue Ramona fans at this house and have the books just about memorized, and we still thought the movie was great.
