Noteworthy News

Hannah has once again demonstrated her strong qualities of determination and perseverance.  It was the school's annual fundraiser and they were selling Entertainment coupon books.  Other than buying something from my children I am not particularly supportive of them canvasing the neighborhood, but Hannah was determined that she had a worthwhile product and made a long list of people she thought would be interested. Her first attempt was with a neighbor that must have had a late night -- she came to the door in her bathrobe at 10am and wasn't interested.  That really shook Hannah up and it took her several days to muster up the courage to go out selling again, but she did it!  She spent several afternoons out selling and was able to make her personal goal of selling 10 Entertainment books!!!  I had to laugh at the loot she brought home.  Her prizes for selling included 2 free Entertainment books, a keychain, a stuffed animal, an inflatable chair, a drawstring backpack, and still to come are 10 seconds in the money machine and a candy grab.  I think this girl might take after her sales Daddy.

Jacob FINALLY lost his tooth!!!  It has been barely hanging on for weeks.  He was super proud to have pulled it out himself and insisted on keeping his tooth for Show & Tell tomorrow, after which he will let the tooth fairy come visit.  I love to see his smile with that cute gap in it.

Two Years Old

Still the golden child, Camden nevertheless is able to prove from time to time that yes, he is two years old.  Food is no longer something to enjoy internally but externally.  Playdough ice cream in his hair & down his back (see above), mashed potatoes on his face & neck...you get the idea.  This morning he woke up wet from a leaky diaper so he went straight into the bath.  No sooner was he clean & dressed than I fed him breakfast where he proceeded to get his smoothie all over himself:  clothes, arms, legs...by 8:20am this kiddo was ready for overhaul #2!  Honestly, this was a mealtime ritual for his brother Drew but I have grown spoiled and accustomed to having a child that stays fairly clean at mealtimes.  Well, it's not good to get too comfortable, right?

One of my favorite things to see:  bedtime stories with Daddy.  Camden is old enough that he loves to be a part of this.  I look at this picture and think I must be the luckiest mom in the world to have a row of boys like that.

Although, let's be honest -- occasionally it looks more like this.  And still photos don't include the bouncing.  Isn't Tyler a great dad?

First Day of School - Take 2

The long awaited day arrived and our neighborhood preschool began.  This is a particularly happy and handsome student that attends:

BABY!

And in another 6-8 weeks we'll find out if our nursery will stay blue or if it's time to break out the pink.  We're really excited.  There is nothing like seeing a tiny, perfect life on the ultrasound screen.
