For Camilla

Dear Camilla,

We missed you last weekend!  We thought of you as we were driving around one of the loveliest spots in the area and came upon this view:
We thought of you as we explored a new trail head:
Wish you could have been with us -- we've got some fun ideas for the next time you come to visit.
Tears, dirt-smudged faces, and licking tongues are all a part of this all-inclusive package the next time you come visit!

Surprise!

I took a very tired Camden up to his bedroom not too long ago, and here's what we found:
Surprise #1: Nothing like a little light reading when your eyelids are heavy, courtesy of brother Drew.

Surprise #2: Tyler discovered baby mice in our backyard.  Me?  I'd scream.  Him?  He passes them out to all the children until he runs out.  We were one mouse short and had a 22 month old screaming and chasing the other kids around to try to get one of his own.  Go figure where those genes came from.  Not the parent who was the hand washing scouring police after the fun was over, I can assure you.

The best kids in the world

If you have the best kids in the world and they have a day off of school, they might spend a week planning, an entire day decorating, cooking, and preparing, and then treat you to a dinner like this:

...which might make you smile like this...

...and if you aren't quite lucky enough to have the best kids in the world you can settle for being friends with us and you might get invited, too.  What a fun night!
