Cakes

My girls were so proud of the cakes they decorated this past week at Activity Days and wanted to be sure that the pictures were viewed by none other than their fantastic cake-making cousin! Tell us what you think, Megan!

"My Princess" and Prince Charming

We haven't seen Drew attired in this for a few weeks, but it is known as "my princess". He wore it for several days straight through naps, outings, etc. I tried to have him take it off at mealtimes but once it somehow got lots of chocolate on it. I think he forgot about it while it was sitting on top of the laundry machine waiting to be cleaned. The girls' old dress-ups were a great diversion for a day or two for both boys.




Typical Drew: lots of bruises on his face & food smears. Hey, with eyes like that (not to mention the costume) you need something to let the world know you are all boy!

J doesn't get much attention on the blog. I have to say that he is a wonderful son to have; he bears the part of the "middle child" pretty well. He is learning & growing rapidly and has to patiently wait for his mom to keep up with him.


He really wanted to put the tray of taco shells in the oven one day. He lost interest by the time the oven was heated, but another day he did pull out the chicken nuggets when the timer went off and I was outside.



















I can always count on him when I need an extra set of hands and there is something that needs to be whipped or beaten. He's great with a hand mixer.


















He cooks. He cleans. No slimy frogs here! Just a fantastic Prince Charming. This guy is going to have one happy wife someday. And for now I get the be the lucky momma that is the object of (most) of his affections. There is one cute girl at preschool...

Beautiful Baby

Okay all you grandparents. I don't know if it helps or hurts to see a baby so far out of squeezing distance -- view at your own risk. Thanks for the great gene pool contributions; we think this little guy sure is beautiful!

The photographer was great. She captured a classic Camden expression - he likes to suck on his lower lip.

He really had a lot of fun with this photo shoot. He was rolling all around, smiling and clapping.

It amazes me how different someone can look in each picture. Each shows a different aspect of his little person.

Quote frame

As I was updating my quote frame the other day I knew I had to post on it. I love this quote frame! Thanks, Darcee, for instructing me on how to make one.

As I read inspired writings and a quote strikes me I will write it on the glass, and we keep this frame on the vanity in the kids' bathroom. I am grateful for another chance to pump my kids with good information when they are confronted with so much to the contrary.

If you want to make one, just get a picture frame, cut a light-colored scrapbook paper to the right size, stick it in your frame to make a pretty background and then write on the glass. I've found that regular markers don't work well, yet permanent markers stay put but will wipe off with a damp cloth and a little bit of elbow grease.
