Does anyone else ever wonder what happens to my kids that they come home from school so GRUMPY??? I know that one person can have a bad day, but the odds of 3 school children having a bad day is not as likely. I try to listen, love, and feed a good snack because as Julie Beck says, children come home feeling hungry physically, emotionally and spiritually. This was one of those afternoons where the house felt like a war-zone. Maybe just one person's bad day turned into a pecking order, but it's days like this that I am about ready to start giving people away.
I have to remember that most of the time kids are grumpy, food burns, the weather is either too hot or too cold, most of the time people who work hard are tired - and that is really what life is supposed to be like, so gird up your courage and best foot forward Mother of Grumpy Ones!
