Personality with a P

In an effort to update the annual kids' photographs on the wall I took their pictures.  Note to self:  this is always a taxing venture.  Tackling small groups of children at a time does make it more bearable.

Emmie has always been difficult to photograph.  I am not sure why I was so surprised that this time was just the same, and while it was next to impossible to get a genuine smile on her face and have her looking at the camera at the same time, I got some great shots that showcase her personality.

The funniest part to me is that these are in sequential order, and were taken just seconds apart.

All of a sudden she just busted out shouting "I'm free!!!"  Too much Frozen?  Maybe.

Try holding still.

Smile, Emmie.

 Come on, please?

Try to act normal.

Just smile and we can take a picture and go home.

 Smile with your teeth showing.

A little less teeth.

Look at me.

Come on, big smile.

Not quite so big.

Look at Mommy!

Try sitting down.

Now look at me.

Good!  Now smile.

 Look at me and smile.

Try again.

You get an idea of what the conversation was like...

I was in such a hurry to get the right lighting that I threw blue shirts at the kids and didn't care what else they were wearing.  Great pose, but oops the leggings don't quite match.  Maybe we'll go for a B&W on this one.

This one is for the wall.

The rest of them?  I adore them all.  I look at them often and treasure them, because I am so, so blessed to have this little girl in my life.
