October Antics

Note for next conference:  taking the kids for a walk to the pond and back is a great way to wear them out.  And even though we thought they were being crazy, a sweet lady that passed us on the trail told us what a beautiful family we have.

This has to be one of my favorite local views.

See?  All tuckered out and ready to hold still for conference.

You know it's October when Ruby the witch appears.  Emmie was super excited to get up close before Ruby took her place on the roof.  We have the coolest neighbors.

Hee Haw!  It was time for a preschool fieldtrip.

Our best personal fruit harvest + friends with an orchard = oodles of delicious, ripe produce.  Camden discovered that the ripest plums do not make the best lunch fruit.

Ties from Argentina.  Thanks, Grandma & Grandpa!!  Missionary grandparents are wonderful, but we're so glad to have them back home again.

Camden and Emmie are always up for a visit to the chiropractor.

Saturday morning walks are my FAVORITE.  We live in a beautiful place.  Friends + fresh air  + a little cardiovascular is therapeutic.

The things that Dad does when Mom isn't around...

Costume antics.  We decided this wig said Pedro instead of Vector (which is what we were going for).  Time for plan B.

Actually, we got a couple wigs this year and although neither of them got used for costumes we had a lot of fun. Tyler decided that this wig was not white enough to be trimmed up for his Harry Cary costume.

It looks better on me, anyway.

For 3 nights the empty bed in the green room had an occupant.

I'm not sure if this girl knows how much her family loves and misses her.  Kyle was good enough to be her ride and to put up with the family for the weekend.

We enjoyed the Scarecrow Festival

and Hannah learned how to country dance!! (It's amazing what a motivator $20 can be)

I got caught snuggling Bella, who was also a house guest for the weekend.

Do you recognize the dark-haired girl with cowgirl Emmie?

Neither her parents nor her baby sister did.  Nice costume, Hannah.

Hannah got to run up to Utah State and experience 24 hours of college life with Callie.  I told them to take lots of pictures, so at the football game they had someone sitting in the stands take pictures of them.  But when Hannah got her ipod back, there were selfies of the picture-taker instead. Gotta love silly college kids.

After a good laugh, they got the real pic they wanted.

It wouldn't be fall if we didn't have fun with leaves. Once again, it is always more fun to gather them than it is to mulch them.

Emmie loves her preschool class!

My sweet Hannah had a terrible eczema outbreak on her face and was feeling rather discouraged.  After searching various remedies, I came home with everything under the sun that was recommended in order to help my sweet girl.

Halloween fun at Dad's office

Halloween should always be on early-out-day.  First time ever that I did not feel rushed or frantic.  It probably helped that I didn't assist at anyone's school party.

Tyler's Harry Cary costume was a winner at the office.  Share some pics, please, babe!!

The loot at the end of the day.
