For Callie's birthday she had the choice between a birthday party at home with a bunch of friends or doing something away from home with a smaller group. She chose to spend a good chunk of time with her best friend, Meghan. We thought of a lot of ideas, and settled on the PERFECT THING. It meant waiting several weeks, but I think she would say it was worth it.
We ate dinner at The Pizza Factory
because they have yummy, yummy breadsticks.
Then, we went to attend this outdoor concert:
Notice anything peculiar about the picture? There are lots of umbrellas & ponchos.
Waiting for the concert to begin we got rained on a bit.
It made for a beautiful sunset.
In the middle of the concert - between rain showers.
The Piano Guys had a tent to protect their instruments during the three or four times it rained during the concert. We stayed fairly comfortable under jackets, blankets & on a tarp. They did end the concert just a little early because the rain came back with a vengeance. However, it ended during their encore and as we were leaving look who we bumped into!!!

All in all, a pretty sweet (and adventurous) evening.
