This was the second year in a row for us to do my new favorite family tradition: hiking on the Fourth of July. This year we hit the trail at 5:50am.
From this overlook we could see FOUR temples!!!
It was STEEP. These kids are troopers and we made it - the white behind us is the Y.
We hiked about 2,000 vertical feet in just1.2 miles. Camden is pointing just to the right of the parking lot where our big bus of a van is parked.
Maybe it was a bit of a dirty trick to wake our kids up at 4:50am, but I hope not - I hope they will always remember what a peaceful, beautiful morning it was and the time we had together. I know I will.
