Love is spelled P-I-E

Jacob assembled the place cards.  Callie made the chocolate satin pies.  Hannah was the cranberry salad maker and peeled potatoes for mashing. Drew made the peanut butter pie, and Camden unwrapped lots of caramels for the caramel pecan pie.  Tyler deep-fried our turkey in the neighbor's deep fryer, but trust me there was still plenty left for me to do.  All the help made it a lot easier and I actually spent some time sitting down on Thanksgiving Day - before we ate!

Emmie was missing from our dinner because she was asleep.  She wouldn't have stayed at the table very long, anyway.  Having Lisa with us was the perfect way to not have the stress of hosting but the fun of company.

Oh yeah, Hannah opened the cans of olives, too.

Maybe my tastiest spread yet.  The addition of pickles and slushy apple cider was brilliant - nod to Angie.

But the show-stopper?  The pies.

Apple and banana cream from my neighbor's home bakery.  Peanut butter with Oreo crust, razzleberry, pecan caramel, 2 chocolate satin pies, and a pumpkin ice box pie with a cinnamon graham cracker crust in an attempt to make pumpkin pie more appetizing.  It worked.  It was enough to let Tyler know how much I love him for the next little while.
