Kids Say the Darndest Things

We were discussing a show on monster trucks that Camden watched and loved.  "It's like a kid's documentary," I explained.  Jacob:  "So it's okay for kids to watch it but they won't get it?"

It was time to clean all the leftovers out of the refrigerator and my boys were sitting at the bar eating the lunch I had imposed upon them.  Drew and Jacob were being forced to eat soft tacos.  "Camden," says Drew in the middle of the meal, "Mom is making us eat`the yuckiest food!"  Jacob agreed.

We had a season of death among the animals at our house, losing a couple of rabbits and a chicken.  I guess all that Camden got out of it was that after they die we don't see them anymore.  Aunt Mary came to help out after the birth of Emilie, and a few days after she left Camden stood up on his chair at the dinner table, threw out his arms, and announced, "Everybody - Aunt Mary DIED."

Upon burying one rabbit, Camden said, "Aw, Mom!  Why did you put the bunny in a mud pie?"

It's so fun catching up with your happenings. Life is busy right?! I can just imagine summertime with six at home. I'm struggling to keep up with three. It's a good thing you have active and attentive angels, and humorous housemates to keep things light.
