Tricks and treats

It was some kind of nasty trick that the day before trick-or-treating we were enjoying a gorgeous afternoon at the park and a mild and pleasant evening.  But when it came time to go out to collect candy the next night, the winds blew and the rain poured down.  What a crazy night!  There was a slight reprieve from the rains when the children got to go out. Below is our Halloween line-up:

The Tiger
When I took Camden out to meet Grandma M. last spring she declared several times, "That boy is a TIGER".  She's right.  It made his costume a little more special this year.  He was a cute tiger but wasn't interested in holding still for pictures.

Drew the Dog
This is the third and likely final year that he has sported this costume.  It's starting to get small.
Is this kid easy going or what?  And such a cutie if I say so myself!

Bumblebee
I am tired of $12 cheap China-made costumes that hundreds of other little boys are wearing.  At least Jacob was thrilled with his pick for this year.  Can someone give me ideas for how to get Jacob really excited for a homemade costume next year?  I mentioned Captain Hook and he said, "No, Mom -- he's a bad guy!  Besides, we don't have a hook."  I insisted that we could make him one.  "Naw, how about Peter Pan?"  Dad wasn't impressed with that idea.

A very sassy Rita Skeeter, reporter from the Harry Potter series.
Thanks Shauna for making an awesome cape and for the glasses!
